Beni Chidori von Gelähmten gesucht

Beitrag von Walter Pall »

Hello,

My name is Dave. I live in the USA. Since I have become paralyzed several years ago I have become fascinated with growing plants. More recently, Japanese Maples in particular.

Recently, I was searching for a very rare cultivar online; I came across your blog in my quest. The tree that I have been searching for, is the elusive 'Beni Chidori'.

I can not find any instance of this cultivar in all of North America. In fact, I find this quite interesting. I am sure there are some folks that have it, but they sure are not selling it on the internet.

I am not in any way associated with any type of nursery or anything like that. I am just fanatical hobbyist and infatuated with rare cultivar maples.

Is there any way I might be able to acquire a cutting or two from the "Beni Chidori' that you have, so that I can try to root a new tree. ??? If you would even consider this, I would be willing to wait if this is not currently possible due to the size of the tree or availability of viable new material.

If this was in any way possible I would be so grateful, I would be unbelievably happy, ecstatic. I know I am probably asking something that is not possible, but I figured I would give it a try.

Of course, I will pay for all shipping costs and double whatever you would value the cuttings per cut. Is there any way that we might be able to arrange something like this.?

Thank you for your time. Thank you for your blog and pictures. Fantastic.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

I don't have this variety. I have posted your mail onto the German forum which is the most active in Europe. You will hopefully receive some answers from there.

good luck

Oh wow.

Your friend already replied... he will bring you some next year.
I can hardly believe it.

Thank you so much. Thank you. Oh wow. Thank you.

As I read more about whom you are... whom it was that I just decided to email, I am taken aback.

I had no idea who I was contacting.
What an honor. T

his shows me how little I know and how much I have to learn.
What an amazing new world I have entered into.

I expected it could take at the least a year if not more.
I am so grateful. Amazing. How exciting.

Thank you so much.
I will be sure to stay in contact from time to time.

Cheers,

DLH

P.S. Unlike a tree, a year seem like a long time for a human.

Hallo,
ich bin auch dabei!
Versuche ebenfalls, Stecklinge zu ziehen, hat im letzten Jahr leider nicht geklappt.
Anbei Foto vom Austrieb, kann verstehen, dass Dave da scharf drauf ist!
